Lady Dane Farmhouse continues to progress well.  We have a full complement of 15 residents who are all well settled.  A new young man joined us in December and has very quickly become part of the family

Since  our last  newsletter  we have been very busy at Lady Dane.

We held our Annual Garden Party on the 29th June.  This was a  very successful day when the sun shone and we had lots of visitors.  Labyrinth entertained us during the afternoon with their lively songs and music.  We had a delicious hog roast, plenty of stalls and games for all ages. Overall we made £1,289.05 which ensured our residents enjoyed some outings and little luxuries.

Lady Dane continues to progress.  Roz our Manager has developed a  cohesive staff team who have cared and supported our residents.  We have concentrated on staff training over the past months which has extended the  knowledge and understanding and given confidence to our staff members. We continue to develop and promote Lady Dane in many ways.

Our Sensory Garden has given much pleasure throughout the summer.  The scent, feel and colour has enhanced the residents’ time and provided a covered area in the fresh air.  We are grateful to Mr & Mrs Raikes for their time and commitment and to Abacus Horizon for their help with the construction

Since the last newsletter  we have been busy at Lady Dane.  The trustees are delighted to announce that our new manager is Roz Chapman, who was appointed in January 2012.   She will be supported in this role by Marie Webb, the head of the care team. Two new nurses have been appointed to fill recent vacancies and two part time activities organizers have been appointed to keep up the quality and variety of visits and indoor activities for residents.

Lady Dane Farmhouse continues to progress well. Our residents are all well settled and enjoying the care and activities at Fynvola.

Looking back over the past year Fynvola has continued to fundraise and met the target for the new sensory room which is now built and fully operational. Residents are benefitting from the varied sensory experiences we can now offer to all. The "magic carpet" brings continual ever-changing scenes with background music enabling the resident to feel and touch, see and hear differing atmospheres all within a calming, safe situation

No 17 - April 2017

Lady Dane Farmhouse continues to progress. A Care Quality Commissioner inspector arrived on the 3'd and again on the 5th January 2017. Unfortunately we didn't do so well this year and have some areas to improve.

Our lack of a Registered Manager went against us as did some audit checks together with some paper work that CQC like to see.  We are working hard to put in place all that they require. One standard which was "Good" was the care of the residents. This is our main aim and one to be proud of.
